Manon Xowie

Beekeeper — Yaté — Tamarind honey

At the foot of century-old tamarind trees

In the deep south, in the commune of Yaté, Manon Xowie tends her hives at the foot of tamarind trees, some of them a century old. A preserved forest terroir, far from any intensive farming.

A honey shaped by deep time

These ancient trees set their own pace: their flowering is irregular, and every year Manon must work around this uncertainty to bring in a harvest worthy of this exceptional terroir.

Rarity as a standard

OROA's tamarind honey, rare and spiced, mirrors Manon Xowie herself: patient, and devoted to a terroir she protects. Every jar bears witness to the deep time of these century-old tamarind trees of the Far South.
