Gislène Bouteille

Beekeeper — Koumac — Eucalyptus honey

The Far North as a playground

In the commune of Koumac, at the northern tip of Grande Terre, Gislène Bouteille tends her hives at the heart of the eucalyptus forests bordering the mining massifs. A harsh, dry environment, yet one of unsuspected floral generosity.

A beekeeper at the end of the world

Far from the most populated areas, Gislène chose a demanding territory, where heat and aridity forge a powerful honey. She watches over her colonies with the rigour this climate demands, between dry seasons and tropical rains.

A honey that carries the North

OROA's eucalyptus honey, intense and mentholated, owes its character to this Far North Caledonian terroir. Every jar tells the story of Gislène Bouteille's quiet, determined work, a beekeeper passionate about honeys with character.
