What lychee honey tastes like
The lychee tree flowers only once a year, over a very short window. The bees gather a fragrant nectar that gives a delicate honey with floral aromas recalling the fruit.
Chloé Wamytan grew up in Houaïlou, surrounded by the lychee orchards the commune is proud of. She set up her hives right beside the trees she has known since childhood, and produces this honey in limited quantities.
Where our lychee honey comes from
Houaïlou, on the east coast
Houaïlou, on the east coast, with its humid climate and fertile valleys, is home to renowned lychee orchards. This is where Chloé Wamytan keeps her hives, as close to the trees as possible.
